| Maria | Jean Woollard | "The Sleepers' Den" is JEAN WOOLLARD's first stage appearance. She was born in Tooting in 1952. |
| Mrs Shannon | Eileen Atkins | EILEEN ATKINS last appeared at the Court in "Exit the King". She was born in a Salvation Army home in Clapton and brought up in Tottenham near TREVOR PEACOCK. |
| Mr. Blake | Anthony Hall | ANTHONY HALL comes from Cardiff where he went to the same drama school as the author. He last appeared at the Court in The Wesker Trilogy. |
| Frankie | Trevor Peacock | TREVOR PEACOCK started his professional career at the Windmill. His own first stage play "Collapse of Stout Party" is due to open in London in May. |
| Mary Lynch | Sonia Graham | SONIA GRAHAM was born in Croydon. She recently finished a nine-month spell in the TV serial "Compact". |
| Directed by | Desmond O'Donovan | DESMOND O'DONOVAN is an assistant director at the National Theatre where he recently co-directed "The Royal Hunt of the Sun". His next production at the Court will be Wedekind's "Spring Awakening" in April. |
